On the 16th August 2013, Stephen Hammond, MP for Wimbledon and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport officially opened our new Wimbledon delivery unit. Mr Hammond was able to experience at first-hand, the daily routine of one of our local postie’s, assisting him on his delivery round. The day out with our postie gave Mr Hammond the chance to see the E2E process from DU to consumer and our track and trace technology that we use to increase delivery efficiency around South West London.

Jim Fitzpatrick, MP for Poplar and Limehouse and Shadow Minister for Transport, visited TNT Post in August 2013 to gain a better understanding of the business as part of the completion of his Fellowship with the Industry and Parliament Trust. This included Mr Fitzpatrick having a tour of our Iver depot seeing the mail and parcel sortation, an overview of TNT Post’s strategy from CEO Nick Wells, detailed presentations of all areas of the business and shadowing a postie for the day from our Victoria Delivery Unit. The experience gave Mr Fitzpatrick a firm understanding of the operations at TNT Post and also gave him the chance to meet a wide variety of employees at all levels.
