We are pleased to announce the launch of a new postal delivery service in Greater Manchester commencing in November.

 

 

The new postal service follows our success in London, where we have been passionate about helping the long term and youth unemployed get back into work since April 2012.  The delivery service rollout will bring over 1000 new jobs to the Greater Manchester area and has been welcomed by Government, local councils and MIDAS;

 

Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne MP said:

‘I am delighted that TNT Post are announcing the creation of 1000 jobs here in Manchester now and 20,000 jobs across the UK over the next 5 years. Today’s news is great for Manchester, and offers real opportunities for young people looking for work and the long term unemployed in this area. It is a vote of confidence in Britain.”

Over the past year we have worked with MIDAS to develop the infrastructure needed for this new rollout, which includes; 11 delivery units in Manchester, Trafford, Salford, Wigan and Bury, enabling us to deliver to households and businesses within the M postcode.  Our TNT Post Posties will complete their deliveries using bicycles and we will provide high quality customer service as every letter that we post will be scanned with our track and trace service.

The job roles on offer vary from Posties to back office support.  These roles will be ideal for local residents who are unemployed or for school/college leavers.  The roles will have flexible working hours which will suit second jobbers, women returning to work and those who are balancing childcare commitments.
