Roger is a shift manager from Iver; TNT Post’s largest depot. Rogers leads a team of 200 who can process more than three million mail items per shift! We asked Roger some questions about his work and interests outside of work.

How long have you been with TNT post?

Just over a year and a half.

What have you been doing at work today?

Machine KPI reports and checking the idle time of our mail machines.

What is your favourite hobby?

I enjoy cooking washed down with a beer while I do it. I’m very much into Moroccan food at the moment, I like the combination of fruits, nuts and spices.

What book are you reading at the moment?

A book by Stephen Donaldson “Fatal Revenant”.

What is most important to you?

Family it’s that simple.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

I would go to India to fish Mahseer. A Mahseer is a huge great beast of a fish found in fast moving rivers across southern Asia and the Indian peninsular.

What is your proudest achievement?

Applying first aid that I’d been taught, to a five year old who had collapsed, until the ambulance arrived, fortunately all ended well.

Who Inspires you?

Lots of things really, but I enjoy a challenge, my Granddad was a great inspiration to me as a child and he encouraged me to be the best that I can in all things, I still stand by this.

What Nicknames have you had?

Only one; “Pav” short for Pavarotti, not because I have a great singing voice, more because of my statuesque figure, I think.

What has been your most memorable moment at TNT Post so far?

When Radio 5 live were on site, firing awkward questions, putting me on the sport . I had to think quickly and ensure my answers were correct as my CEO, Nick Wells was standing next to me!

Many thanks to Roger for his contribution.
