Our TNT Post Posties deliver your mail through our E2E delivery service either on foot or by bike. Whether they are cycling or walking, our posties cover some extensive distances on a day-to-day basis (over 51,000 miles per week). This means that in an average week, they can walk more than twice around the world!
Cycling and walking can bring many benefits to people, with the biggest being a great way for us to keep fit and healthy. As well as this, they also provide us with a pleasant way to travel, a way to clear our minds and a chance to enjoy some fresh air.
These forms of exercise are a guaranteed way to lose weight, decrease the risk of heart disease, dementia and depression. It’s the easy way for us to look after our bodies and keep us fighting fit.
However, for many people, finding the time to exercise is difficult. Work schedules, family time and other commitments can get in the way. But for our TNT posties, the flexibility and nature of their job role has meant that they can improve their health and fitness levels without it affecting their day-to-day lives.

Jamie Palmer, 25
Before joining TNT Post, Jamie had been long term unemployed. The relaxed atmosphere, being outdoors and varied rounds appeal to Jamie most. “It’s all about flexibility,” he states. “There are also a lot of opportunities – I hope to become a buddy one day. I also love a job which keeps me fit, as health and being physically active is important to me.”
Peter Johnson, 55
Peter has been at TNT Post for over a year. He would recommend the job to those that enjoy working outside, and for those that want to get fit, citing that he has lost weight on the job and seen an increase in his fitness and stamina. “There are opportunities to progress mentally, physically and within the company, and I really enjoy it here.”
Francesco Arrabali Tomansino, 29
Francesco, who joined TNT Post in April 2012, would recommend becoming a TNT Postie to others. “You have to be motivated and capable,” he explains. “There’s a lot of physical activity, such as climbing stairs and travelling on the bike.”
Nathan John, 23
A previous college dropout, TNT post has allowed him to work flexible hours so that he can have days free to spend with his daughter. “I love working outside and not being stuck in an office,” he comments. In addition to earning a living, Nathan has TNT Post to thank for a tremendous amount of weight loss. The physical activity entailed meant that Nathan shed stones, improving his health levels significant. “I feel so much healthier and more confident,” he states.
